Spazio Agenzia Alimentare
In linea con gli obiettivi e gli intenti dello spazio, è nato un progetto che ha preso piede nel quartiere e che coinvolge il Banco Alimentare del Piemonte e Il Gigante di via Cigna, ed è realizzato in collaborazione con i servizi sociali della circoscrizione 7.
Inaugurato nel 2013, riesce a mantenere l’attività grazie al lavoro di un gruppo di volontari. Lo Spazio Agenzia Alimentare Cecchi presso l’Hub, distribuisce, esclusivamente alle persone individuate dai servizi sociali del quartiere Sette (Aurora, Vanchiglia, Sassi, Madonna del Pilone), pacchi alimentari con alimenti di prima necessità tipo pasta, olio, riso, scatolame, caffè.
Questi ultimi vengono donati all’Agenzia dal Banco Alimentare, l’organizzazione che ha sede a Moncalieri e che raccoglie cibo in scadenza dalla grande distribuzione.
Il servizio alla cittadinanza, sempre in stretta collaborazione con i servizi sociali, è aperto ogni sabato dalle 16 alle 19, per distribuire alle famiglie bisognose che sentono di più la crisi e per raccogliere eventuali offerte da possibili donatori.
L’azione sul territorio
“Con un gruppo di amici gestiamo all’interno del Cecchi Point uno spazio dove ci occupiamo di distribuire cibo alle persone bisognose per aiutarli a mettere insieme il pranzo con la cena che ci sono state segnalate dai servizi sociali della circoscrizione 7.
Ad oggi riusciamo a distribuire del cibo una volta al mese a circa 90 persone. Il cibo ci viene donato dal Banco Alimentare (a cui siamo accreditati) 1 volta ogni 2 mesi e 1 volta la settimana da “Il Gigante” di via Cigna il quale ci da il cibo in prossima scadenza (quando ne ha) e poi raccogliamo quello che ci viene donato da benefattori con varie iniziative: aperitivi e raccolta nelle aziende in cui lavoriamo.

Se qualcuno volesse contribuire a questa iniziativa donandoci del cibo (prodotti di prima necessità a lunga scadenza) potrà consegnarcelo il sabato pomeriggio dalle ore 16.00 alle ore 19.00 oppure il giovedì sera dalle 18.30 alle 19.30.”
